We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel! The location was fantastic, right on the beach with miles of powdery sand stretching in both directions. The view of the turquoise sea from the sun beds was simply breathtaking. The service provided by the staff was top-notch, with the chef preparing a delicious breakfast and even offering to cook other meals if needed. The owner/hostess, Natalia, was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed for our stay. We also appreciated the well-maintained garden and the quiet and peaceful atmosphere of the hotel. this place provided the perfect combination of luxury, comfort, and tranquility.

Maji Lodge's staff, manager, and breakfast options are superb. The location at Matemwe beach is amazing, with postcard-worthy views. The guesthouse offers the possibility to cook or explore nearby restaurants. The atmosphere is relaxed and laid-back, with a fridge stocked with beverages. Snorkeling trips, spa treatments, and other activities can be easily arranged.

During my recent business trip to Matemwe, Zanzibar, my director chose Maji Lodge as our accommodation. I was pleasantly surprised by the features this hotel had to offer. The multi-level swimming pool provided a refreshing escape from the tropical heat, and the wellness center allowed me to unwind and relax after a long day of meetings and conferences. The facilities truly enhanced my stay, adding an extra level of luxury and comfort to the experience.

The hospitality at this hotel was exceptional. the staff went out of their way to ensure our comfort, even bringing electrolytes for my partner when he fell ill. the accommodation itself was gorgeous, with only four rooms, it never felt crowded. the beach was stunning and peaceful, perfect for relaxation. We also enjoyed the fact that we could use the kitchen if we wanted to cook.

One drawback was that there was no blanket provided upon arrival, and when we asked, we were told it was in the laundry. It would have been better if everything was ready before guests arrived.

Perfect beachfront location, peaceful and quiet. Delicious nearby dining options. Tides allow for knee-deep exploration of beautiful marine life. Friendly and helpful staff, creating a home-like atmosphere. Tastefully designed and clean lodge with filling breakfast options.

As party people, we absolutely loved the location of Maji Lodge. It is right on the beautiful Matemwe beach, with stunning views of the Indian Ocean. The beach itself is peaceful and quiet, perfect for relaxing. There are also plenty of nearby restaurants where we could go for lunch, dinner, or drinks. We had a great time exploring the area and enjoying the beachfront setting.

We felt spoilt at Maji Lodge. There was absolutely no reason to complain.

My partner and I had the most relaxing holiday ever at Maji Lodge! The property is stunning, the surrounding village and beach are tranquil, and the view is amazing. Natalia and Michael, the owners, are friendly and always ready to help. The house itself is charming, the garden is well-maintained, and there are plenty of private corners to relax. We loved the delicious breakfast and the secluded beach. This is the perfect place to recharge and enjoy the island nature.
